Hi there! My name is Giridharan (pronounced as: Geary-Doren); people call me Giri (pronounced as: Geary). I am an Information Systems (MIS) and MBA graduate from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. I have been amazed by technology as long as I can remember and have seen it greatly influence the lives of many. This reason primarily accentuated my interest towards Information Systems. I was fortunate that I had an early start, Thanks to Mr. Bill Gates and Microsoft; My parents gifted me my first computer with a Windows 95 operating system. Since then, my interest in computers has grown exponentially. I grew up in Chennai, India and completed my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India. The increasing application of computers in technological development is of interest to me as it began to create a global impact. Learning more about the vast field of computer programming and it’s application in my field of engineering encompassed my years in college.

Today, I am an active member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) at the University of Arkansas.
